A busy long weekend

Ok, I am having a bit of a problem with my computer tonight, so I have these 2 gardening pics at the wrong spot.... :)

What a great weekend we had! Well spent with family and friends.

Well lets start with going to Riley's 3 months checkup on Friday, 15th of May. On the 15th of May he weighs 6.65 kgs and he is 63 cms long. He is only 3 months old but looks like a 5 or a 6 months old baby. I do not think he is chubby, he eats well, I guess he is just perfect, of course he is my baby. :)

Saturday, 16th of May, 2009.

I made my yummy lemon poppy seed cake to take over to my good friends house. we were invited for dinner, and I know how Bozena likes this cake so I made her one. It was a real hit, everybody loved it. She even told me that a firend of hers came to visit the next day and she offerd her a slice of the cake and she loved it too. She told Bozena what a good baker she is. hehe, I had to brag. :) We had a nice time. It was a rainy, cold day, and the kids were a touch cranky but we still had a good time.

Sunday, 17th of May, 2009.

We headed out in the morning to my in-laws who live in Fenelon Falls. I was a bit tired but I really wanted to go to get some gardening done, and I was also looking forward to watching the season finale of Desperate Housewives with my MIL. Yes, I am addicted to this show, this is the only one I can not miss, nothing else matters. I loves this show, and I am glad to say that my hubby enjoys watching it too. How sweet. I am relieved that Susan and her son are fine and that Dave guy is caught finally. I can not wait to see the new episodes, I have really no idea who Mike is going to marry.

We planted a few rows of beans with my MIL - Linda, and Chloe helped us too with watering the seeds. We did not get much done since it was an extremely cold and windy day. I did a little bit of weeding too.

Chloe and grandma tried to fly a kite, but they did not have much success first, too much wind. Later in the evening they had more luck and Chloe really had a great time. I know my MIL enjoyed too since she lately did not spend much time with Chloe - she is just too busy with work.

We got home so late, 1 in the morning. I was very exhausted. I did not know it was going to be a 2 hour season finale of Desperate Housewives, so we left after 11 pm at night.

Sunday, 18th of May, 2009.

Victoria Day! Ahh, we did not have any fire works! Oh well, it was a beautiful day well spent with family, who cares about fireworks! :)

We went to the CN tower, Toronto today. What a perfect, sunny day! We took my Friend's daughter Viktoria with us as well. Luckily it was not busy at the CN tower. We went to the lookout, enjoyed the view from the glass floor - not my hubby, he is afraid of height, though he was pretty good with just coming to the look. I was very surprised. We went all the way up to the Sky pod. We all had a great time. After leaving the tower we annoyed some fresh lemonade form a lemonade stand, some hot dogs and fries. The girls were excited to chase the birds while they were eating and than feeding them with leftover bread and fries. We ended up staying for some drinks and some food at Bozena's after dropping Viki off. You have to have a cappuccino always... Bozena would never let you leave her house without having one. So now I just keep a can of organic decaf coffee at her house so I can enjoy a up of cappuccino while still nursing Riley.

It is almost 11 pm, I should go to bed soon, I have a busy day tomorrow too. I am taking the gang to the library program again, 2 more sessions and it is over.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Enjoy the pictures, thanks for reading and have a great night.

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all mothers had an awesome day!

I had such a wonderful day with my family I am very thankfull for having them. I am thankfull for my two beautiful, healthy children, for my dear husband my parents, my sister, my in-laws all my family members and friends and for even those people who are not my friends...for those who touched my life in any way, I am thankful for them since I could not be the mother I am today.

In the morning I had to run out to pick up food for our lunch. I went to one of the restaurants in town - Chinook - and I picked up some tasty Rosemary Chicken in mushroom sauce. I am a vegetarian so I could not tell you how good it was personally, but my family loves it. I also went to an organic grocery store - Nature's Emporium - where they have a little cafe and I bought some dishes from them: tofu in spicy plum sauce, potatoe salad, kale salad, roasted vegetables and quinoa. The lunch was very nice. Than we opened presents and had some yummy lemon poppy seed cake I made Saturday evening. After a slice of cake and some coffee we moms went for a walk with the kids. I really enjoyed spending some time with Linda ( MIL ) since she is so busy with her business all the time we hardly get to see each other.
I made an acrylic album for my mother-in-law. You can see the pictures below. It is very simple nothing fancy I mostly used CTMH products, all the paper is CTMH and some of the embellishments.... Since my mom is not here I wanted to include her in the album too.
I am very thankful for having such an amazing lady as my mother-in-law. She does so much for us and when you need her she is always there to support you. She is a great mom and grandma too. I miss my mom too since she is in Hungary and I am really looking for my parents visit in the summer!

My husband and I with Chloe and Riley.

This is a picture of Riley, he just mastered how to hold his shaker and shake it. He had so much fun with his little toy.

My babies and I.

Chloe's school picture and grandma holding Chloe when she was about 6 months old.

Daddy with his son, just having a little chat. Riley "talks" so much.

My mom and my mother-in-law in Hungary.

Grandma with her 2 grandchildren. Riley is just a few weeks old. Chloe loves her little brother and Riley just adores her.
Riley was a few minutes old here.
Here we are still three, I am 7 months pregnant.
My parents are saying bye to Chloe at the airport in Hungary.
Our family picture - Chloe turned 1.
Just the two of us- married.
The yummy lemon poppy seed cake. I will include the recipe tomorrow. It is very easy to make.
Me with my babies. Good thing I got this picture done since we were not taking pictures today.
That is all for today. Off I go to relax with my hubby. Finally Chloe stopped coming out of her bedroom, I have no idea what has gotten into her....and Riley is asleep for a little while now.

Have a good night!

Mother's Day Pictures

Mother's Days is just 2 more days away. I never get any pictures taken of me with the kids so I decided to pack the kids up this morning to go to The Superstore. I have not made an appointment in advance so I kust called them up this morning to see if they have a spot open for us. Luckily they did. I took some pictures of Chloe and Riley before heading out and I want to share them with you now.The one that was taken at the photo studio will be ready tomorrow. I will be adding that in tommorrow.

I am attending a crop on Saturday. I am kinda organized. I will have to pack up after the kids go to bed for sure or I am not going, lol... ( Oh yes I am!!! ) I can not wait to go and get some me time. Well, I will bring Riley with me and my hubby will pick him up from me toward at the end of the crop. Awesome, he will give him formula and I can get some layouts done hopefully. I really find it difficult to get any scrapbooking done these days. I know I just had a baby, but I am just so anxious to scrapbook those pictures I have gotten developed.

It was a beautifil morning here today, almost summer I should say. We went to the park, pleayed outside, got a pick-nick planket out, blew bubbles....
It is supposed to be rainy on Saturday so I do not feel guilty for being away on a Saturday from my family.

Enjoy the day it is so beatuful out today!

Yes, I slept in

Hi Ladies,

Yes I slept in this morning due to organizing my pics. Therefore I could not walk my daughter to school and I felt really bad about it since it is a beautiful morning plus I am trying to loose that belly my ssweet Riley gifted me with. I am going to walk to get Chloe from school. I am tired I wish I could go to bed but there is so much to do in my house. Yawn..... Maybe I should make a coffee, just a half decaf half regular maybe, ok I will.

Hope you like the LOs and cards I made. I know the pics do not look great, I really need to figure out this camera....

Enjoy the day!
